AI and Integrity: Countering Misconduct in Digital Commerce
Lexi Love is confronting the misuse of #ai in commerce, an issue that has negatively impacted our 20 year brand. Foxy® utilized Lexi Love® in commerce without consent to facilitate their company's growth and development of Not Safe For Work AI-generated influencers, violating common law, statutory rights, and trademark law. Social media platforms such as X and Instagram supported Love in defending the rights to our established name. Yet, despite Foxy's cessation of the unauthorized utilization of our name, The Sun, the New York Post, the Economic Times, a third-party distributor, and other media outlets have failed to honor our requests to detach our brand from Foxy's Not Safe For Work content. These news outlets have failed to uphold journalistic integrity by ensuring accurate information dissemination to the detriment of our brand reputation, resulting in sustained consumer confusion due to misinformation and compromised search engine results.
Lexi Love's trademark infringement is only one example of AI misuse; without further regulation, A I misuse will impact our personal and professional lives and erode consumer and public trust in the authenticity of individuals, public figures, celebrities, #government officials, brands, and company representation. To safeguard our digital and civic landscapes, it is crucial to advocate for robust legal frameworks addressing AI transparency, including media accountability.
